It is with profound sadness that the family of Mary Stewart
announce her passing on November 8, 2017, at the age of 91 at York
Care Centre. Mom was predeceased by Gordon Tuttle Sr. (father of son,
Gordie), John Payne (father of daughter, Linda), and John Stewart. She
was also predeceased by her parents, Guy and Elsie Manning. She is
survived by son, Gordie (Marsha); daughter, Linda (Jack);
grandchildren, Jennifer (Pierre), Mark (Alex), Leslie (Tim), and John.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Jacob, A.J., Nicholas,
and Amethyst.
Mom spent most of her working career with Sears in Saint
John. She very much enjoyed her summer home in Cambridge-Narrows and
her winter home in Florida for many years. The family would like to
express our appreciation to the staff of the Duffie Unit-Oromocto
Public Hospital, and York Care Centre in Fredericton for the kindness
and care shown to Mom and her family.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Baptist Church, Doyle
Drive next to the RCMP office, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday,
November 14, 2017, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm. There
will be a reception following. A private interment will be held at a
later date in Ocean View Memorial Gardens in Saint John. In lieu of
flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Oromocto Baptist Church or a
charity of the donor’s choice.
