Mary Margaret Werner
1935-2017
At the end of a life well lived, the death of Mary Werner,
wife of R. Douglas Werner, occurred on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at
the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born on August
11, 1935 in Malpeque, PEI, she was an only child to the late Bruce and
Margaret (MacGoughan) MacNutt.
A multitalented person with an engaging personality, she
excelled in all her many interests. A disabling stroke after
surgery for cancer left her in long term care for more than two years,
succumbing to further cancer a few days short of her
53rd wedding anniversary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint
John (634-7424). In keeping with
Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will not
be any visitation or funeral service. Interment will take
place at Malpeque People’s Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of
donor’s choice.
