Mary MacDonald Trudel
1944 – 2017
Mary passed away at home in Knowlton, Quebec. She was the soulmate of Pat (Paul) Trudel for 32 years. They met skiing at St-Sauveur in 1985, and lived on Lake Memphremagog and in Knowlton for the past 2 years. They skied at Owl’s Head, Sutton, the Canadian Rockies and Europe. She will be missed by her many friends in Montreal and the Eastern Townships as well as her cousins in the USA. Mary’s father and mother, Rodrick and Annabel, lived in Beaconsfield, Quebec. Mary was their only child. She took to skiing at an early age and became a Canadian Ski Alliance level 4 instructor, then taught skiing at Mont-Tremblant. She attended fine arts courses at the Bishop’s University campus in Knowlton. Mary was on the board and president of the Montreal Chest Institute, which benefited financially from art exhibitions organized by Mary in Knowlton and Montreal. There will be a reception at the Trudel residence in October to celebrate Mary’s life, to be announced.
