Mary Elizabeth “Betty” McMullen
1927-2017
Betty McMullen, 90, widow of Burton McMullen formerly of
Lower Coverdale, NB; passed away at Monarch Hall on
Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of
the late John & Christina (Nichol) Wright.
She is survived by her children Tom, Barb (Harold), Al
(Kinda), David and Jonathan (Shelley); and by her former
daughter-in-law Carol Ann (Nice); and by her sisters Alice Linden
(Robert) and Marg (the late Ken) Stratton.
Betty was a loving Nanny & GG (Great Gran) to 13
grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren. She will be
dearly missed by her nieces, nephews and many friends.
Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by one
grandchild, James and siblings John (the late Maudie)
Wright, Doris Wright and Ena (the late Jim)
Kemp.
Visitation at the Moncton Gospel Hall (where Betty
fellowshipped for over 70 years) located at 895 Salisbury Rd.
Moncton will take place on Friday, December 29, 2017 from
6:00 pm to 9:00pm.
The Funeral service will
be held at the Moncton Gospel Hall on Saturday, December 30, 2017
at 2:00 pm with Harold MacDougall officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the
spring.
In Betty’ memory donations may be made to the
Moncton Gospel Hall or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
A special thanks to the caregivers at both Canterbury
& Monarch Hall.
