1937-2017
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Mary Elizabeth Crossman, age
80, of Amherst, after a year long battle with cancer. Mary
passed away peacefully at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on
Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Born in Warren, NS, she was a daughter
of the late Harry and Georgina (Burke) Wesley.
Mary was employed at Barkers, Agnew and
Van Shoe Stores, as well as Sobeys. She enjoyed getting
together with friends and sharing stories. She was a
wonderful cook and always kept a spotless home.
An only child, she is survived by
several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by husbands Ricky Lane, Neil Carty, Byron Geikie and
Welesley Crossman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church
St., Amherst (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will take place on
Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 1 pm until 2 pm, followed immediately
at 2 pm by her funeral service at Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Rev.
Donnie Miller officiating. Burial to take place in the
Amherst Cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorial
contributions may be made to the V.O.N, Palliative Care, or the
charity of your choice.
