DENNIS, Mary—
Passed away, peacefully, in her 104th year, at the Village at University Gates, Waterloo, on Sunday, February 12, 2017, with family by her side. Mary (nee Krystalowich) Dennis was the beloved wife of the late William Joseph Dennis (1986). She was the dear mother of David (Joan) Dennis, Marie (Bruce) Tracey, and Jane Dennis. Mary is remembered by her six grandchildren Elizabeth (Robin), Catherine, Michael (Kirsten), Mary Claire (Anthony), Nathan (Jackie) and Renata, and by three great-grandsons Everett, Liam and Charlie. She is survived by siblings Walter (late Bert), Jean (Peter), Helen and Gerald. Mary was predeceased by siblings Michael, Nellie, Olga, Joyce, Bill and Rudy, and by her parents Anton and Kate (nee Smorong) Krystolowicz.
The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of the Village at University Gates for the exceptional care and compassion shown to their Mom, not only in her final hours, but during her entire stay.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Mary will be held at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the CNIB or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
