HAYES, Elizabeth (née Copp) – Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Hayes at Cornwall died peacefully in her own bed on June 1st, 2017 with her daughter and grand-daughter at her side. Former owner of Maples Trailer Park. Predeceased by her husband James Matthew (Matt) Hayes and later her special friend Arthur (Art) Dolliver; brothers Jeremiah and Leonard Copp and sisters Judith McLean and Mary Miller. Survived by one sister Angela Copp. Beloved mother of Edward (Denise) of Long Sault; Kelly, Cornwall; Jonathan, Orleans, and Melanie of Kingston. Cherished Nana of Shalagh of Cornwall. Neighbour and close friend of Karen Myers. The Queen of the Maples, Betty was a curling champion and aficionado, golf enthusiast, lover of cottage life and active in the lives of family and friends. In view of Betty’s wishes, no funeral will occur. Family will be in attendance at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall on Wednesday, June 7th from 2-4:45 PM. A service in her memory will be celebrated in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 5:00 PM.
