Obituary for Martina Glavin
Martina Mary (Dietrich) Glavin of Parkhill passed away peacefully at her residence with family at her side on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Glavin (†2010). Dear Mother and mother-in-law of Mary Anne & Alf Stacey of St. Thomas, Rita & Jim Thorne of London, Gerard & Rita Glavin of Arkona, Eugene & Theresa Glavin of Crediton, Michael & Julie Glavin of Bakersfield CA. Loving Grandma of 16 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Dear sister of Benedict† Dietrich of Exeter, Anna† (Sister Dominica) of Chatham, Eugene† Dietrich of London, Louis† Dietrich of Exeter, Sister Rita† Dietrich of Chatham, Mary† Dietrich, Hubert† Dietrich of Lucan and Stephen Dietrich & Josephine of Stephen Twp. Parents Noah† and Christina†(Foster) Dietrich.
Martina was welcomed into the Glavin family in 1947 after her marriage to Joseph and was dearly loved by her in-laws. Martina was born, and later raised her family on their family farm in the Mount Carmel Parish.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 13th at M.Box & Son Funeral Home, 183 Broad St. in Parkhill from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A Holy Mass will take place on Saturday, October 14th at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 159 Anne Street in Parkhill with Father Tony Laforet presiding. Interment at Our Lady Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel.
