Martha Lingley
1922-2017
It is with sadness that the family of Martha
Lingley, age 95, announces her death which occurred on
Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Agape Home, Bloomfield, NB.
Born on September 10, 1922 in Ireland, she was a daughter of the late
John & Rachel (Steele) Greer and wife of the late Ronald
Lingley.
Martha lived most of her life on the Kingston Peninsula with
her husband Ronald and family. She ended her days at the
special care home of her daughter Fran, in Bloomfield, where she
always had a welcome, sincere smile to all that visited
her.
Martha is survived by her daughter Fran (Hazen) Cooke of
Smithtown, NB; sons Ronald (Brenda) Lingley of Kingston Peninsula, NB,
Brent (Jeannette) Lingley of Cobden, ON, Barry (Bernice) Lingley of
Darlings Island, NB, and Ross (Natalie) Lingley of Powasson, ON;
sister-in-law Doris Daley; as well as many grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Martha was
predeceased by her infant daughter; and brothers John, James, Samuel,
Stewart, Robert, Ralph, Thomas; sisters Jean Kennie, Mary Steeves,
Polly MacFarland and Viola Blades.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral
Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton where visitation will
be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to
8pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November
13, 2017 at 11:00am from Reid’s Funeral Chapel.
Interment will take place at Clifton Royal Anglican
Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Martha may be made to the memorial of
the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and
