Marlene Patricia LeBlanc
May 25, 1960-May 27, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, partner, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, Marlene Patricia LeBlanc, on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Marlene was the daughter of Patricia ( Harrietha) LeBlanc and the late Stanley Joseph Leblanc.
Marlene was a stay at home Mom that devoted her entire life not only to her children, but her grandchildren as well. She loved the outdoors and could be found building her own wildlife conservation in her backyard. Marlene had a love for all living things, but her cat Woody remained the closest to her heart. Marlene also had many special gifts she loved to share with family and friends. Marlene loved astronomy, doings crafts, and long walks on the beach. She also enjoyed cooking her special chili for family and friends.
Marlene is survived by her loving partner William Brayon; two children, Diana (Stevie) and Amanda (Kevin): loving brothers and sisters, David (Leila), Alex (Wanda), Linda, Irene, Juanita (Val), and Anita (Steven), 7 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be fondly remembered by her many friends, her best friend and sister Linda, and also her very special granddaughter Hannah, who spent many of her weekends helping with her Nan with her many pets, baking cookies or just cuddling on the couch watching movies. Hannah loves and misses her Nana dearly.
Marlene was predeceased by her father Stanley Joseph LeBlanc, common-law husband Donald MacKinnon, brother Kenneth “Kenny” LeBlanc, grandparents Arnold and Harriet (Roland) LeBlanc, Mary (Dandy) Dan Joe Harrietha, and great-nephew Lincoln Shawn Forrest.
