1929-2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mark
Best announce his passing on August 13, 2017 at Happy Valley-Goose
Bay, Labrador at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn his
children, Ruby (John), Barry, Karen (Tim), Judy (Kerry), Perry
(Karen), Terry, Peggie (John) and Garry (Jackie); grandchildren,
Morgan, Barry Jr., Jeremy, Christopher, Tara, Craig, Corey, Trevor,
Vanessa, Adam and Ryan; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Joe; his
sister, Marion (Broomfield) and a large number of nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mark
and Mary Best; brothers, Gus, Eugene and Robert; sisters, Stella, Sue
and Mary; and step-brother, Ewart. Private family visitation
only. Funeral will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday, August
17, 2017 from the Mud Lake United Church with Rev. Benjamin Adekunle
officiating. Interment to follow at the Mud Lake
Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations
may be made to the Mud Lake United Church in his memory.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Long Term Care facility
in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Family flowers
