Obituary of Marjorie Cleveland
October 20, 1929 – July 29, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie on Saturday, July 29, 2017 surrounded by the love of her family. She will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of her devoted husband of 68 years, Dale; loving children, Brenda (Jim) Homes, Beverly Cleveland, and Randy (Fiona) Cleveland; cherished grandchildren, Shawn (Tammy) and Adam (Sarah) Homes, and Ellery, Tuie, and Rory Cleveland; step grandson Alex (Ashlee) Kastelen; grand-cats, Jinx and Mittens; and adored great-grandchildren, Bayley, Everlee, Neve, and Nora Homes. Marge is also survived by her sister Louise Phillipow; sister-in-law Anne Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law June and Geza Kardos; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Frances Cowell; siblings, Marie, Walter, and Ernie. Marge was raised in Saskatoon and it was while attending high school she met the love of her life, Dale. Dale and Marge were married June 17, 1949. In 1962, Marge, Dale, and their three children moved to Regina, which has been their home, except for two years spent in Ottawa. College Park II has been their residence for the past two years. The family would like to thank the staff of College Park II, especially the caregivers on Memory Care, for their compassion and care provided to Mom. Celebration of Marjorie’s Life will be held at the Hotel Saskatchewan, 2125 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, 3337 15th Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1T3 or charity of your choice.
