Marion Lillian ANDRES - July 21

Marion Lillian ANDRES – July 21, 1944 – December 31, 2016

Marion Lillian Andres born in Herbert, Saskatchewan on July 21st, 1944. I grew up in Herbert and lived there for nearly twenty years. I was the youngest of 12 children. In high school, I met my future husband, Robert. I accepted Christ as my personal Saviour at an early age of seven, which still holds true today.
Robert and I were married on November 27, 1965. The first years of marriage were in Brooks, Alberta. Then we moved to Taber, Alberta. We were blessed with two wonderful children.… Read More » Dwayne was bon on April 11, 1968 in Taber, Alberta. A year later and driven by taxi to the Swift Current Hospital, my daughter Cammie was born at 5:05 pm on April 19, 1969.
We as a family soon had a chance at the coal mines in British Columbia. In November 1969, my husband Robert started work as a Light Duty Mechanic. We lived at the Sparwood Row Houses in the first year and in 1971 our house at 325 Pacific Yew Crescent was built brand new and for us as a family to move into and live for the rest of our lives. We still reside today at this home and address we cherish. We made lots of trips to Saskatchewan, California, fishing and hunting. We went to Germany in 1990 and again in 2010. We visited the ocean waters of Cuba and Mexico.
Robert retired from the coal mines in July of 2010 as both of our birthdays fall in the month of July. It was a celebrative and exciting year because it meant my husband and I, Marion, could spend our golden years together. As health concerns were okay, Robert and I will have managed to make it to our 50th Wedding Anniversary which is always celebrated on November 27th Grey Cup Weekend.
In the last few years we’ve tried our luck with making pickles. Family and friends both enjoyed them.
The happiest moments of my life have been times spent together in the bosom of my family, as I now have passed.
Love to All,
Marion
Cancer is so limited ….
It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
In cannot kill friendship,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the Spirit,
It cannot lessen the power
of the resurrection.
If an incurable disease has invaded your life, refuse to let it touch your spirit. Your body can be severely afflicted, and you may have a great struggle. But if you keep trusting God’s love, your spirit will remain strong.
Our greatest enemy is not disease, but despair.
