Obituary Overview
In Memory of Marion
Clerke, Marion of Dieppe passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at The Moncton Hospital on November 19, 2017 at the age of 84.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Irene (Wilson) Brown.
Marion had various jobs, including being self employed as a partner with her husband Randy at Clerke’s Autobody. She was also employed at Sears, and spent many happy years at Gifts Galore. Her most accomplished job was raising five children, which she got through with her stubbornness and her dry sense of humour.
She was an avid Bingo player with her best friend Kaye. She loved the Casino and eating out with family. You never had to wonder where you stood with Marion, as she said what she thought. She was well known for her love of ladybugs, next time you see a ladybug smile and say “Hi Marion”.
Marion is survived by her sons; Jack (Sherry), Stephen (Joanne), daughters; Susan (Garth) Wade, Wendy (Rob) Caissie, Kellie (Lloyd) Bliss and her sister Leola Hannington.
She is also survived by her grandchildren; John, Ashley (Evan), Jessica (Glen), Jennifer (Paul), Katie (Kyle), Jesse, her great grandchildren; Lucas, Sammy and her many nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband Randolph Clerke, brothers; Roy, George and her sister Elsie.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A family service will take place at a later date.
Interment will take place in Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations in Marion’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Pat, Krystal, Jenna and Carol for the excellent care that they provided for Marion.
