Marilyn Hicks – 2017

Marilyn Hicks passed away in Turkey Point, Ontario; peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday July 18, 2017. She is survived by her mother Rose of St Thomas, her daughter Catherine and her husband Dr. Howard Lamb of Turkey Point. Her son Duane Hicks and his wife Deidre of New Liskeard, Ontario. Her cherished granddaughter Jill Weston and her husband Shawn of Woodstock. Also survived and loved by grandchildren Stephen, Melinda, Tim, Cory and Craig Smith. Jeff Prouse, Andrew Fick and his wife Meredith. Michael and Carley Hicks. Marilyn had spoiling privileges of 7 great grandchildren Katie, Kyle Hailey, Heather, Colton, Gunnar and Shaylee. Marilyn has five siblings. Clair and her husband George Wall, Bob and Marie Smith, Larry and Trudy Smith, Doug and Linda Smith and Shirley and Gerald Smith. Also a brother in-law Larry and his wife Joan Hicks.
She dearly missed her husband Duane Hicks who passed in 2003 and daughter Laura in 2016. Her father Clifford Smith and in-laws Mervin and Hilda Hicks held dear spots in her heart.
Marilyn loved to knit and crochet. Many children’s sweaters were created along with oodles of crocheted cloths. Marilyn also enjoyed staying in touch with old and new friends and family on social media. She was often the first to like a posted photo or comment on an event.
Friends may call at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday July 23, 2017 from 2-4 pm . The Funeral service will be held at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Monday July 24, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation appreciated. Share memories and condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
