Obituary of Marie Robinson
ROBINSON, Marie G. – Of Peterborough, passed away peacefully at Meaford General Hospital on Friday, October 20th, 2017, in her 72nd year. Marie, loving wife of Jim. Daughter of the late Percy and Catherine Hoskin. Sister of Fred Hoskin, and the late Dayle Hoskin. Marie will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Marie had many accomplishments in life; Owner of “Ideas Consultation and Development”, a public promotions company in Toronto, was the Public Relations Manager of the Ontario Region of KPMG, a Consultant with Kingsway National Real Estate in Etobicoke, a published author in Maclean’s Magazine, managed a travel agency at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, a Legal Assistant with Weir-Foulds in Toronto, and was a dedicated volunteer with Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will be held for Marie at a later date. Donations in Memory of Marie can be made to The Charity of Your Choice.

Marie was my assistant at WeirFoulds for a number of years. She was everything that an assistant should be: bright, energetic, professional and unfailingly courteous. I enjoyed work much more knowing that she was there to help me get through each day, and to “man the fort” when I was away on hearings. I was sorry hear that she was moving to Peterborough, but came to realize that there were other things that she needed to do, and other things she was capable of doing. This is very sad news for me. My sincere condolences to Jim and to all of her family.
