Marie Meda
Cook,100, of Moncton, NB entered peacefully into the presence of her
Lord and Saviour, with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, July
18, 2017.
Born in Moncton, she was the
daughter of the late Elias and Almeda (Taylor)
Balser.
Survived by her husband and
best friend of 72 years Rowland; daughter, Carol Anne Marshall (Gary)
of Amherst, NS.; son, Paul Cook (Joelle LePlante) of Moncton; daughter
in law Debbie Cook; sister in law Elizabeth Balser; six grandchildren:
Daniel (Nicole), Amanda, Francine, Bernard (Susan), Susie (Alex), and
Andrea (Mitchell); six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews,
cousins, and extended family.
As the last surviving member
of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her brothers Allan,
Bliss and Leverett Balser.
As a devout Christian, she
enjoyed sharing her faith with others. She will be most
remembered for her unconditional love, as an accomplished musician,
and for her appreciation of all things bright and
beautiful.
The family wishes to express
sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Moncton City Hospital and
to the Lakeview Manor in Riverview for their ongoing
care.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral
Home 214 Pine Glen
Rd. Riverview, NB where visitation
will be held on Friday,
July 21, 2017 from 6-8 pm.
The Funeral
service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral
Home on Saturday,
July 22, 2017 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations
in Marie’s memory can be made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital
(palliative care).
