Marie Joan Kelly
Marie J. Kelly, 81, of Stilesville, passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born in Moncton, she
was the daughter of the late Fred and Pauline (Jonah)
Briggs.
Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother and sister. She was a member of the LTB Bowling League,
Friday Morning League and the Centennial Park Lawn Bowling Club. An
avid quilter, Marie enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her flower beds
and gardening.
Marie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kathleen
“Kathy” Leeman (David); sons, Steven (Kim) and Craig
(Melanie), all of Stilesville; grandchildren, Leslie, Tyler, Kyle and
Brady; great grandchildren, Emily and Sage; sisters, Audrey Renton
(late Earl), Jennie Gray (Randy), Freda Briggs all of Stilesville and
Sandra Bloome (Mark) of Valley, NS; brother, Wayne Briggs (Allison) of
Acton, ON; sister-in-law, Gertie Briggs of Stilesville; several
nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her
parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ken Kelly (2012); sister,
Barbara Hicks (late Carl); brother, Aubrey Briggs and sister-in-law,
Marilyn.
In honoring Marie’s wishes, there will be no
visitation hours. A Service to celebrate Marie’s life will
be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Dr. Shawn
Redden officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre
following the service. Interment will be held in Stilesville Cemetery
in the spring.
In memory of Marie, donations to the Stilesville Cemetery
Fund or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be
