Cowherd, Marie Florence
Marie passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre on Monday, March 13, 2017, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Donald (1983), her brother James Pettit (2016) and her daughter Carol Sim- Montreuil (2016) (Jerry). Survived by her sister Joyce Stewart (George) and brother Roy Pettit. Also survived by her son Bruce (Faye) and daughter Margaret Milley (Glen). She will be missed by her grandchildren Corinne Cowherd, Sarah Preis (Derek), Joel Milley (Ellen), Ryan (Milley), and Jodi Merson. Also missed by great-grandchildren Viena and Melody Milley, and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Marie enjoyed many years playing organ in the Church of the Nazarene and also played piano for the “Tin Lizzies” in Florida. Thank you to all the staff at St. Joseph’s Lifecare for their support and kindness. Visitation on Thursday, March 16th, 6 to 9 p.m. at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave., and also Friday, March 17, 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, Fairview Drive, with service there at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to the Stedman Community Hospice.
