Obituary for Maria Pagnotta
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, who abide in His shadow for life,

God sent His Angels to gather Maria Angelica Pagnotta, gently and lovingly returned her into the palm of His Hands in the early hours of Friday, November 10, 2017.
Maria is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Meluccia and son-in-law, Giovanni Di Marco; brothers, Antonio Bruni-Bossio of Jasper, AB, Giuseppe (Maria) Bruni-Bossio of Edmonton; sister-in-law, Alba (Pasquale Bruni-Bossio); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, Italy, France and USA. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Nicola Pagnotta; parents, Michele and Carmela Bruni-Bossio; sisters, Annette Caputo, Palmira Mazzuca, and Gilda Bruni-Bossio; brothers, Pasquale Bruni-Bossio and infant brother, Guiseppe Bruni-Bossio; and sister-in-law, Rosina Bruni-Bossio.
Abiding gratitude to all who loved and sustained Maria Angelica in her life, and to treasured mentors, Letizia Albrecht, Anna Johnson, Grace Forbes, Archie and Peter Treffers; Biomedical and Integrative physicians, Laurie Brooks, Benjamin Tyrell, Mariusz Sapijaszko, William Hui, Ed Papp, Steven Aung, and Tris Trethart; Integrative practitioners, Dr Blair Schmaus and Dr. Aurora Ongaro, Dr. Robert Pearman, Dr. Wayne Steinke and Robert Dale Rogers. Maria knew dignity and grace through the kindness, care and respect for her life and person during her stays at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Robbins Pavilion in May, 2017, at the CCU CK Hui Heart Centre, and in October and November, 2017 at Unit 5 East. Gratitude and blessings to Doctors Ramona Hrimiuc, Maisoon Osman, Peter Ao, Gilbert Enenajor, El Shazly, Unit 5E Nursing and non-nursing staff and manager, Laura Thibeau, as well as ER Dr. Gilbert Lung.
Prayer Service Friday, November 17 at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton.
Funeral Mass Saturday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend John Hesse officiating with entombment in Edmonton Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers and other tributes, please contact her children directly if you wish to contribute in Maria’s name.
