Obituary for Marguerita “Marge” Garratt
GARRATT, Marguerita (Marge) Ann
January 28, 1942 – September 11, 2017
Marge passed away peacefully at Southwood Hospice in Calgary, Alberta on September 11, 2017 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her sons Paul Garratt, Dan Garratt, both of Calgary; daughter Janice (Jeff) Baxter of Hinton Alberta; eleven grand children and four great grandchildren. Marge is also survived by her sister Jackie (Eric) Mueller of Kelowna, British Columbia. She is predeceased by her parents Ed and Reta Ford of Kelowna and her eldest son Raymond.
Marge was an active Suncor retiree and member of her local neighbourhood group; she will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched. There will be no service, by her request, but a celebration of Marge’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, Marge’s family would appreciate donations made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
