Margaret S. Fawcett
1909-2017
Margaret S. Fawcett; well loved by her children,
grandchildren, extended family and friends died peacefully in her
sleep in her 108th year on Tuesday, March 28,
2017 at the Lakeview Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Charlo, NB she was the daughter of the late John C.
and Winnifred (Dickie) McLean, Margaret was one of fifteen children
and the last surviving member of her immediate family. After
graduating from normal school she taught in Bathurst and Sackville
areas. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and a former
member of Humphrey Memorial United Church and a member of the
UCW.
She is survived by her daughter Christy (David) Billing of
Riverview; sons John (Late Gratia) of Moncton, Donald (Marcia
Kilpatrick) of Riverview and Graham (Judy) of Riverview; nine
grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; Margaret was also
survived by a close family friend Moira Lawrence of
Riverview.
Besides her parents, brothers and sisters she was predeceased
by her husband Albert Vaughn Fawcett in 1975.
A funeral service will be held at the Tuttle Brothers and
Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. at a later date, to
be announced.
Interment will be in Four Corner Cemetery, Upper Sackville,
NB.
Donations in Margaret’s memory made to the Friends of The
Moncton Hospital or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated by the family.
