It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on October 27, 2017 at the Health Science Center in her 85th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Kevin, of 50 years, her parents Pat and Mabel Oakley and her siblings; Mary Aspell, Leo Oakley, Catherine (Kit) Morrissey and Ed Oakley and other members of the McDonald and Oakley family. Left with fond and loving memories her sons Keith, Gary (Sherry) and Rick (Leslie); grandchildren Raylene, Brandon, Bradley, Kyle and Danielle; sister Francis Abbott; brothers Jim (Anne) and Bill (Mary); brothers-in-law; Brian McDonald (Mary), Leo McDonald (Christine); sisters-in-law; Joyce Solkov, Audrey Knodell (Bob); long time friends and neighbors Ed and Mary Kirby; special friends Fred and Barb Noftall; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thankyou to Karen Barella of Compassion Homecare, Patricia Sturge and the staff of Cradea Manor, and the administration and staff of 4 North West of Pleasantview Towers for their compassion, respect and care given to her. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 7 – 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, November 1st at 9:30 am at St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
