Margaret Emily Shirley
Margaret E. Shirley, 97, of K.E. Spencer
Memorial Home Moncton and formerly of Brown’s Yard, NB,
passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 22,
2017. Born in Brown’s Yard, she was the daughter of the late
Jeremiah and Helen (Atkinson) (Livingston)
MacEachern.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother and sister. She leaves all her
children/grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the knowledge that
they were truly loved. Her generous heart filled her home
with love, fun, family and friends.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church
Brown’s Yard; former member of St. Paul’s ACW and
former member of the Church Choir. She attended St. James
and St. George’s Anglican Churches in later years.
Her heart was always in St. Paul’s Anglican Church
Brown’s Yard.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters, Wanda Pasic
(Michael) of Ottawa, ON, Marlene Armour (Norm) of Hamilton, ON, Sharon
Shirley of Ottawa, ON, Berdine MacLeod (Bruce) of Moncton, Lana Harper
of Ottawa, ON, Sharon Crossman of Moncton and Trudy Ricker (Gary) of
Sussex; her only son, Dale Shirley of Moncton; son in laws, Paul
Lawlor and Roger Surette; 21 cherished grandchildren and several great
grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family
members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her
husband, Kimball (1995); daughters, Joy Brown, Donna Lawlor
and Alice Surette; grandson, Stephen Lalonde; sons in law, Shane
Harper, Graham Stultz, Donnie LeBlanc and Walter Brown; sisters, Ruth,
Grace, Dorothy and Annie; brothers, Stafford, John and Everett; two
infant grandchildren, Baby Susan Jean Brown and Baby Frank
Shirley.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A
service to celebrate and honour Shirley’s life will be held
from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00
am. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the
service. Interment to be held in St. Paul’s Anglican
Cemetery, Brown’s Yard.
