Margaret loved, was loved and will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years Norman Hartwick; their four children Donald (Carol) Hartwick, Debra (Boyd) Harris, Leonard Hartwick and Linda (Heather) Hartwick; ten grandchildren Tara Belland, Steffan (Sinead) Hartwick,… Megan (Ryan) Blades, Shauna Hartwick, Erinn (Sammy)Seroya, Carley (Matthew) Wilson, Travis Harris (Kassy Cocker), Ryan King, Cody, Christie and ten great grandchildren Brady, Desi, Wilde, Orion, Traevin, Jacob, Teagan, Kieran, Brielle, Kaia as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Margaret and Norman married in 1957 and moved many times during their marriage before settling back in High River.
Also lovingly known as Auntie Marg, Mother Goose, Gramma, and “GG”, Margaret was truly happiest when surrounded by family and will be fondly remembered for her warm welcome, her laughter, her sharp wit, horse-back adventures, Calaway Park, swimming and her famous “Gramma Juice”. She had a genuine love for people that made everyone feel at ease no matter the circumstances. She loved teaching her children and grandchildren how to bake, especially pies. She enjoyed knitting for family and friends, many of her sweaters were purchased through the High River Gift Shop with the proceeds supporting local charities.
Margaret spent numerous hours volunteering with Meals on Wheels and with the Palliative Care Program, driving patients to Calgary for Cancer treatments and when this became too much for her she spent countless hours sitting with patients during their final hours.
Margaret was predeceased by both her parents and her brother Edward Laverty.
She is survived by her brother Donald (Martha) Laverty, her sisters-in-law Donna Laverty, Marion Kinnear, Gwen Miller and Jean Morrison.
