It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of Manuel Mendes Vieira, at the age of 78, on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the General Hospital. He passed away peacefully with the comfort of his family.
Beloved husband of Genuveva da Costa.
Cherished father and father-in-law of Maria Melo, Rui Vieira, Francisco Vieira, Carlos Vieira, Fernanda Toste, Isilda Couto, Paulo Vieira, Francisco S. Vieira, Paulo Toste, Elizabeth Vieira, Ana Luisa Vieira, Yvette Vieira and predeceased Genuveva Melo and Armando Melo.
Loving brother of Lurdes Lemos, Armando Vieira, Bras Vieira and Eduardo Vieira.
Loving grandfather of Cristina, Ana, Patricia, Jordan, Alicia, Olivia, Kevin, Ashley, Austin, Samantha, Hope, Jasmine, Michelle, Michael, Matthew, Amy, Anthony, Armanda, David, Mario, Ryan and Christopher.
Loving great-grandfather of Micaela, Liliana, Skylar, Sophia, Maria, Mya, Alivia, Veronika, Landen, Brooklyn, Jayden and Reilly.
Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East, on Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Church, 146 Park Avenue North, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow.
