Malcolm Alexander Mackay passed away suddenly on November 14, 2017 at the age of 58 years old. Remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife, Debbie Mackay; mother, Audrey Mackay; children: Matthew (Karri) Mackay of Okotoks AB, Aaron (Jen) Mackay of Sylvan Lake AB, Adam (Trisha) Stewart of Victoria BC; stepchildren: Tammie Morris, Tara Makepeace, Matt Wilkinson, Shayne Wilkinson; grandchildren: Zachary Mackay, Toby Mackay and Fable Makepeace, and an expected grandchild; siblings: Neil (Lori) Mackay of Langley BC, Ian (Liz) of Calgary AB, Christina (Lyonel) Doherty of Penticton BC, and many relatives in Scotland. Malcolm was sadly predeceased by his father Donald and his sister Moira who was 9 years old.
His nicknames are “Mal”, “Malc” or Scoot. He enjoyed golf, biking, Candy Crush, and watching sports. Malcolm was a Baggage and Security Agent for the airlines, and was well travelled to many countries. Malc enjoyed coffee, tea, and beer, as well as drawing and reading stories with his grandchildren. He could be seen attending hockey games with his children or attending concerts with his wife. Game of Thrones was his favourite TV series.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 20, 2017 at 1:00pm at Providence Funeral Homes, 1258 Main Street, Penticton with Ian Mackay officiating. Interment will follow in the spring of 2018.
