Magdelena Bruner passed away peacefully at RUH on February 5, 2017 at the age of 85. Magdelena was born on the farm near Allan, SK to Christian and Julia Senger, the third of nine children. She married Walter (Valentine) Sander in 1953. They raised their four children and farmed near Colonsay, SK. In 1992, Magdelena married Clyne Bruner and lived in Colonsay until 2004. “Maggie” spent nearly 14 very enjoyable years at St. Volodymyr in Saskatoon where she made many friendships and participated in the Community with other residents. Magdelena will be lovingly remembered by her children: Iris (Jim) Rugg, Gerald (Janice) Sander, Eric (Erna) Sander, and Shelly Sander; grand-children: Danielle (Matthew) Holtorf, Jamie Rugg (Daniel), Jason (Maria) Sander, Tristan (Krissy) Rugg, Kailey (Jesse) Friesen, and Keagan Sander (Holly); her great-grandchildren: Ava, Reese and Lucas Holtorf, plus one expected at the end of February; siblings: Arnold (Ida) Senger, Barbara Senger, Eugene (Pamela) Senger, Edward (Andelina) Senger, Ron (Elsie) Senger, Agnes (Wally) Deschuck, Rhea (Carl) Parsons; siblings-in-law: Hilda Sander, Marge Sander, Sr. Genevieve Sander, Mary Schaan, Loretta Carson, Lynn Sander, and Tony (Barb) Sander; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Christian and Julia Senger, sister Leona Moldenhauer, brother Elmer Senger, sister-in-law Helen Senger, brother-in-law Jake Moldenhauer, husband Walter Sander, second husband Clyne Bruner, youngest son Garry, and infant daughter Darlene.
