It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Boara on May 4, 2017. Predeceased by his dear son, Richard (Anne MacLennan). He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan Bennett Boara, his daughter Elaine (Joe Lawrence), grandchildren Kimberly (Paul Alexander), Caeleigh, Shaughna, Jaguar, Beau, Hudson and Lil’ Joe, sister-in-law Betty-Ann (Dave Mulholland), only cousin Norma Hayes, as well as many nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family.
Robert spent his career with Gestetner, retiring from the position of President, Eastern Canada. He was happiest when his family was together, especially for a meal and good conversation. Visitations will be at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home (2125 Notre-Dame (www.jjcardinal.ca 514-639-1511) on Sunday May 14, from 2pm – 5pm and 7pm – 9pm. Memorial service will be held on Monday, May 15 at 11am in the chapel of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Welcome Hall Mission, Christian Blind Mission or any charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
