Peacefully, in her sleep after a short illness, with her loving husband by her side on Thursday September 21, 2017 in her 93rd year. Lynne Nesbitt (nee Gardner) of Beachburg and formerly of Summerside PEI, beloved and devoted wife for 32 years of Tom Nesbitt. Loved second mother of Michael (Terena),North Bay, Kim Nesbitt, Aylmer QC Kelly Nesbitt, Toronto and Kerry McDonald (Ken), Petawawa and grandmother to Matthew, Malcolm, Lila, Thomas and Peter. Dear aunt to Terrence Gardner (Julie) and their children Kirree (Sean), Mian and Caly of the Isle of Man. Dear friends and special thanks to Faye and Edmond Arseneault. Lynne lived and long and full life, was a proud veteran of WW II, Royal Air Force electrician was a member of a test crew on the Lancaster Bomber among many other interesting occupations. Lynne was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 17 PEI. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Veterans Affairs, Access Health Care, staff of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Emergency Dept. and 1ST Floor Rehab, the Palliative Care Unit of Marianhill and Dr. Baxter and the staff of Country Haven Beachburg. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Lynne on Thursday September 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Country Haven Retirement Residence 1387 Beachburg Road, Beachburg ON. In memory of Lynn, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of Marianhill would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke.
