1950-2017
Lynda Cameron-Creighton, 66, of Dolorosa Ave., Antigonish,
passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 1, 2017, after a brief, but
courageous battle with cancer, in St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the
late John Hugh and Mary Ellen (Farrell) Cameron.
Lynda graduated from the Victoria General School of Nursing
in 1972, nursing in Canso and Tatamagouche before a 30 year career at
the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. Her continuous smile could light up
the room and she loved working with the residents and staff. Linda was
very spiritual and deep in her faith. She had a green thumb, which
showed in her beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed playing the
ukulele with her musical friends. Lynda was dedicated to her family
and friends and always offered a helping hand.
Surviving are the love of her life, Jimmy Moeller, sister
Diane Hanrahan, Cape George, brother Leo (Isabel), Halifax, uncle
Placide Cameron, aunts Mary Cleary, Kay Smith, Catherine Cameron and
Janet Farrell, in-laws Frank (Barbara) Moeller, Audrey (Tom) Weigmann,
David (Anne) Moeller, Patricia (John) Chisholm, Mike (Linda) Moeller
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers Duncan
and Hugh, brother-in-law Hugh Hanrahan, uncles Daniel James, Alex,
John C., Thane, Kerese, Reg, Les, aunts, Margaret, Gladys, Noreen,
Minetta, Thelma and Edna.
Visitation 2-4 and7-9 pm, Wednesday in MacIsaac Funeral Home,
61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11:00am Thursday, January 5,
2017 in St. Ninian’s Cathedral. Burial in the parish
cemetery. Family flowers only, donations to St. Martha’s
Hospital Foundation.
