Celebrating The Life Of Lou McMaster
Louise Marta Rottweiler was born on May 19th, 1921 in Deisslingen, Germany. Lou, 95, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 in Calgary. Lou spent time in France, England and the United States in the 1940s and 50s, prior to settling in Canada, where she married and had four children. Lou is survived by her loving family, son John, daughter Karen and son-in-law Paul Newman, daughter Margot and son-in-law Doug Munro, daughter Carolyn,… grandsons Ryan and Luke and brother Kurt Rottweiler. Lou is pre-deceased by her husband Ross Raymond McMaster, her sister Emma and brother Willi. We will always remember Lou’s passion for cooking, her love of gardening, and her ability to make friends wherever she lived. She was a petite woman with a radiant smile and a twinkle in her eye. Mum will live in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank the staff of Father Lacombe Care Centre for their diligent care of our mother over the last few months. Mum’s affection for animals spanned a lifetime. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made directly to your local SPCA.
