Lorraine Margaret Hartung (Long)
of Palmerston passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, November 3, 2017 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Reuben Hartung (2016) for 63 years. Sister of Bernice Noble of Palmerston and the late Lawrence Noble (1992), the late Mary Johnston (2014) and her husband Bill Johnston of Listowel. Sister-in-law of Mildred Hammond of Waterloo, John Hartung of Palmerston and late Ardith Hartung (2015), Laverne and Joyce Hartung of Aberfoyle, Ken and Inez Hartung of Guelph, Joan Hartung of Palmerston and the late Lyle Hartung (2011), Wayne and Shirley Hartung of R.R. #1 Gowanstown, and David Hartung and his friend Lillian Henry of Palmerston. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her two brothers Thomas Walker Long and Donald Russell Long.
The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. Private family funeral service followed by interment in Palmerston Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
