Lorne was born in Saskatoon. He was raised on the farm and attended Laniwci School. At a very young age he developed a strong work ethic. He took over the family farm, while also working at Empire Meats for a short time. His love for farming gave him a feeling of self accomplishment at the end of every day. He loved music and playing the accordion. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and his hospitality was plentiful. It usually consisted of drink, food and a lively game of Kaiser. His smile was contagious. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.
Divine Liturgy will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1202 11th Street East, Saskatoon on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Laniwci Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery will follow the luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Laniwci Ascension Ukrainian Catholic Church.
