Lorne Charles PINDER – June 27, 1938 – February 19, 2017

Lorne Charles Pinder of Saanichton, BC passed away suddenly on February 19th, 2017 from cardiac arrest at the age of 78.
He was born on June 27th, 1938 in Melville, Saskatchewan, son of John and Doris Pinder. Lorne is pre-deceased by his father and mother; survived by his wife, Marie-Paule, brother Doug, sister Myrna, daughters Michèle (Gordon and Grace), Monique (Ash, Liam and Colin) and Lise Anne (Ernie, Christina and Sara).
Lorne served in the RCAF and Canadian Forces from April 1962… Read More » to February 1991 as a Radar Technician. His military career took him to St. Jean, Quebec; St. Sylvestre, Quebec; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Armstrong, Ontario; Alsask, Saskatchewan; Sioux Lookout, Ontario; Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Holberg, British Columbia; and finally Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. All of these locations were excellent spots for Lorne and his family who all enjoyed the outdoors – camping, boating, fishing, and snowmobiling.
Lorne’s hobbies included woodworking, travelling, handyman work, and spending time with family.
Lorne’s loving heart connected him deeply to his family and friends who miss him very much.
A Celebration of Life reception will take place at the Langford Legion #91 (761 Station Ave) on Tuesday March 14th starting at 1:30PM. Please RSVP to gsmhamilton@gmail.com.

Lorne Charles Pinder de Saanichton, en Colombie-Britannique, est décédé soudainement le 19 février 2017 d’un arrêt cardiaque à l’âge de 78 ans.
Il est né le 27 juin 1938 à Melville, en Saskatchewan, fils de John et Doris Pinder. Lorne est pré-décédé par son père et sa mère; Marie-Paule, son frère Doug, sa sœur Myrna, ses filles Michèle (Gordon et Grace), Monique (Ash, Liam et Colin) et Lise Anne (Ernie, Christina et Sara).
Lorne a servi dans l’ARC et les Forces canadiennes d’avril 1962 à février 1991 comme technicien radar. Sa carrière militaire le conduisit à Saint-Jean, Québec; St. Sylvestre, Québec; Winnipeg (Manitoba); Armstrong (Ontario); Alsask, Saskatchewan; Sioux Lookout (Ontario); Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Holberg, Colombie-Britannique; et enfin Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Tous ces endroits étaient d’excellents endroits pour Lorne et sa famille qui ont tous apprécié l’extérieur – le camping, la navigation de plaisance, la pêche et la motoneige.
Les hobbies de Lorne comprenaient le travail du bois, les voyages, le bricolage, et le temps passé en famille.
Le cœur aimant de Lorne l’a profondément rattaché à sa famille et à ses amis qui lui manquent beaucoup.
