It is with great sadness that the family of Lorna Patricia
O’Brien (Pare), wife of the late James R. O’Brien,
announces her unexpected passing which occurred on Friday, June 30,
2017. Born in Saint John, NB on March 31, 1936, she was a daughter of
the late Paul and Patricia (Crilley) Pare.
Mom had a great love for her family and especially took great
pride in all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought
her tremendous joy throughout her life.
She will be dearly missed by her children: Kim Melanson
(Jack), Theresa Ellefsen (John), Shelley Gerrior, Jaime
O’Brien and Jonathan O’Brien (Jennifer Ryan);
grandchildren: Stephanie, Kristen, Gregory, Erica, Gina, Jason, Sarah,
Joshua, Eron, Clarke, Kathleen, Benjamin and Molly; great
grandchildren: Alexa, Brooklyn, Dylan, Leah, Alex, Liam, Jeffrey,
Julia, Owen and Drew; brothers: Paul Pare and Tony
Pare; sisters: Iris Stevens and Debbie Taylor (Chris); aunt, Laurette
Gogan; cousin and best friend Jean Doyle along with several cousins,
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased
by her granddaughter, Leah (Melanson) Theall.

Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, 634 –
7425, with visitation taking place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 2 pm
to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held from St. Peter’s Parish, 50 Clarendon Street, Saint
John, NB, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment
will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish,
remembrances may be made to the Leah Theall Memorial fund c/o SJRH
Foundation or Romero House.
