It is with huge sadness our family announces the
passing of our dear, sweet, funny and creative
LORI (Lorraine) IRIS DUFF – Wife, Sister,
Mom and Grandmother who was always our
“RAY of SUNSHINE” !!!
LORI, was born Lorraine Iris Duff, August 27, 1957
in Prince George, B.C
Lori passed on to be with her Saviour July 16th, 2017
in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital during a
wonderful visitation with her little great granddaughter,
grandchildren and step sons, Rob and Tom.
Lori battled the rare adrenal cancer for many months
and was always reassuring us”don’t worry” I am going
to be fine, regardless of the outcome.
She was such a strong lady!
The family moved to Kelowna when she was 11 yrs old ,
where she graduated.
She loved the thought of the flower design business and
joined Karen ‘s Flower Basket in Kelowna which gave
her the start to her much loved career with “Floridale Florists”
(Larkspur today).
When she met the love of her life Robert Laidlaw, they
shared the love of the outdoors, snowmobiling, cross
country skiing, fishing at Babine Lake and of course
Tukii Lodge.
The wedding was inevitable, in August of 2000 they were married.
Lori was a strong supporter of her community, participating in
parades, supporting the local events and devoting many hours to
her favourite organization “TOPS” which she attended 10 days
prior to her passing! She was so respected by the organization.
Her chapter nominated LORI for the prestigious provincial award
“TOPS OF THE YEAR 2015
She was so compassionate, giving and such a good friend to all
who knew her!! We all miss and love her!!!
