Obituary for Loretta Durland (Boucher)
In loving memory of Loretta Durland (Boucher) who passed away Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Norman Durland predeceased. Loving mother of Colleen Durland (Scott) of Toronto and Sharon Neville (Mike) of Sudbury. Loretta was raised in Pembroke. With her mother passing when she was an infant, she was very close with her mother’s family who help raise her. Like the saying “It takes a village to raise a child”, she was influenced by many that shaped her into the loving and vibrant person she was. She was predeceased by her aunts and uncles Vincent, Henry, Clifford, Richard, Desmond, Eva, Ella, Veronica and Doris. She is remembered by her many cousins and extended family. Loretta was a big lover of bingo and card games. Her favorite season was winter so during an afternoon or evening snowfall, she would have her cup of tea to watch it fall. She was the happiest though when she was surrounded by her family whom she taught to live life to the fullest. The family would like to thank Pioneer Manor and staff especially Angel and Diane for all the care and compassion.
At Loretta’s request, there will no visitation or service. Cremation. If desired, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
