On February 24, 2017, Lois Sharon Richards of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, passed away at the age of 73 years.
Lois was a Manager of Operations for Telus and a Cook and Housekeeper at St. Joseph’s Basilica.
Lois is survived by daughter, Cheryl (Kurt) Norman; son, Brian (Jessica); and five grandchildren, Ryan (Andrea), Elise (Kyle), Matthew (Michelle), Jennifer (Nikolas) and Bradley; one brother, Ivan (Marlene); three sisters, Joan, Edith (Wayne), and Penny. Predeceased by her husband, Ross; parents, Zetta and Jim Conley; mother-in-law, Olga; brother, Don; brother-in-law, Wayne; nephews, Jim and Jeff; and niece, Tammy.
Thank you to the staff of the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, family and friends who took time out of their busy schedules to visit, friends from St. Joseph’s Basilica, Emergency Services, and a special thank you to Lisa, whose compassion at a difficult time was appreciated. Memorial Service Saturday, July 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT and Nunavut, Suite 144, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB T6H 5G8 or the Grey Nuns Community Hospital Cardiac Care Unit, Room 3C60, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4 or the charity of one’s choice.
