It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Linda Ruth Shannon Hatton,
age 70, of Springhill. Linda passed away with her family by
her side on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Moncton
Hospital.
Born in Springhill, she was the daughter
of the late Brud and Mary (Gowans) Crummey.
She loved her children and grandchildren
more than anything in the world. She was a true friend to
everyone. “If she hasn’t a joke or a story to tell, or
if she’s not smiling, then all is not well.” She loved
watching television, especially Coronation Street, which reminded her
of her mother who was from Scotland.
She will be dearly missed by her
daughters Diane (Roy) Hatton-Bradbury, St. Thomas, ON, Cindy (Wayne)
Gillam, Moncton; 4 grandchildren Kristopher (Charmaine) Landry,
Renée Landry, Avery and Deklan Gillam; great grandson
Zander Landry; step-brother Robin (Sandy) Wilson, Langley, BC; several
very special friends.
She was predeceased by Ralph
Hatton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St.,
Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where an Afternoon of Remembrance will
be held on Sunday, November 12 from 2 to 4 pm.
Following the Afternoon of Remembrance, she will be buried with her
parents in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
Those wishing to make a donation in
Linda’s memory may do so to the L A Animal Shelter or the charity of
your choice.
