WESTVILLE – Linda Ruth Fleming, 53, Westville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 after a life lived caring for others.
Born in Guelph, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Roy Bent. Linda was a member of the Pictou County YMCA Child Care staff, where she considered her co-workers and clients an extension of her family. Previously, she had been employed with House of Children, Abercrombie and as a self-employed child care provider. Linda was a caring and loving wife and mother, whose greatest joy in life was looking after children.
Surviving are her husband, John Fleming; daughter, Alyson Bent-Forsythe, Halifax; Ashley Langille, Fairview; son, Travis Fleming, Halifax; sister, Susan Bent (Joyce), Dartmouth; brothers, Keith (Corinne) Bent, New Glasgow; David Bent, California; Ross Bent, Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, Josh and Nevaeh; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Donations may be made in Linda’s memory to Pictou County YMCA Child Care Program.
