Linda Patricia Smith

Linda Patricia Chamberlain (Smith) was born on July 20th, 1947 in Oakville, Ontario. Her parents Jack and Helen Chamberlain raised her, along with her brother, Brian, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
At the age of 19 Linda met her future husband, Keith Smith, at a district convention in Toronto. They married a year later on Sept 2, 1967. They pioneered together for one year and she continued until the birth of their first child, Melanie Manda, in 1970. Two years later she gave birth to their son, Wade Brendan. Linda returned to the pioneer work once the children started school and continued for a number of years.
She formed meaningful, long-lasting friendships in Oakville that remained strong even after they moved to St. Paul. Her gentle, loving disposition was infectious and endeared many to her wherever she went. She was well known for her compassionate nature, warm smile and kindness. It was obvious she loved all those who also loved Jehovah.
Linda cherished the ministry and especially enjoyed teaching others about the Bible’s hope. She was very effective at reaching the hearts of the ones she taught.
She enjoyed showing hospitality to all and because of her love for cooking and baking, many enjoyed the delicious results.
Her love for her family was evident to all. Her family and friends will always remember Linda as being a loving caring mother and a very supportive and patient wife.
Above all, Linda had a deep love for Jehovah and a strong faith in his promised paradise.
We will all miss her and look forward to welcoming her back in the very near future.
Service of Remembrance, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, St. Paul.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their continued support and love. Please join them for some light refreshments at the Centennial Senior Citizen Club, 5114-49 St., St. Paul.
