It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lily
MacLeod of Framboise Intervale on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the
Cove Guest Home, Sydney.
Born August 31, 1935, in Framboise Intervale, she was the
daughter of the late Norman “Klondike” and Katie Ann
(MacKillop) MacLeod.
Lily was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian
Church, Framboise. Upon retiring from the Department of Highways, she
was an active member of the Framboise Seniors Club and the Community
Hall until her sickness.
Lily is survived by her three sons, Norman Alex (Jean),
Philip (Sarah Jane) and Jackie (Suzann); seven grandchildren, Leah
(Ben), Adam (Stephanie), Jo-Ann (Chris), Eileen, Justin, Emma and
Coltin; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Ryan. She is also survived
by her brother, Ramsey (Ann) MacLeod; sister, Pearl MacDonald; many
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Angus Archie MacLeod;
brothers, Malcolm Alex, Johnnie, Charlie Angus and Norman D.; sisters,
Mary Katie, Margaret and Dolena.
By her request, there will be no visitation. Funeral service
will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Framboise
on Tuesday, October 3 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Corrie Stewart
officiating. Interment in Framboise Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s
choice.
