Lillian Nicholson

Lillian Louise Nicholson passed away peacefully at Seaforth Long Term Care Home, on Sunday, August 27, 2017. Throughout her 89 years among us, Lillian was a loving, nurturing presence within the circle of her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Ross (2011), Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her son Paul (Cathy) of Harpurhey and her daughter Louise (Dave Machan) of Seaforth. Cherished grandma of Shelly Harloff of Seaforth, Tracy Nicholson of Egmondville, Cathy Hillier (Stephen) of Houston, Texas, Carla De Corte (Mike) of Seaforth and Cody Machan of Egmondville. Loving great-grandma to Ethan, Amanda, Brandon, Alexander, Zachary, Daniel, Carter, Martin, Cassidy, Trevor, Emily, and great-great-grandma of Alyza. Lillian will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered her brother-in-law Howard Tait and sisters-in-law Barbara Alexander and Elizabeth Nicholson.
Along with her husband Ross, Lillian is predeceased by her sisters Margaret Tait and Violet Cowan, and siblings-in-laws Allan and Helen Nicholson, Murray Nicholson, Harold and Beryl Nicholson, Jack Nicholson and Gord Thorton.
Family and friends will be received at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Thursday, August 31st, from 7-9 p.m., and on Friday, September 1st, from 1 -1:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service to celebrate Lillian’s life at 2 p.m. Interment at Egmondville Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.
