Lillian Kathleen Kay Houston – February 17, 2017

Lillian Kathleen “Kay” Houston in her 96th year. Peacefully left this earth to join her Heavenly Father Friday February 17th, 2017. A resident of Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home in Guelph, Ontario for the past 5.5 years where she received and appreciated loving care. Prior too, Kay lived in St. Catharines (5 years) and previous to that, was a long term resident of Owen Sound. Kay was born in the family home in Kimberley, June 14, 1921. Eldest child of Lillian and Saul Fawcett (deceased); sister of Dorothy Chittenden of St. Catharine’s, Audrey Farrar of Thornbury and Jimmy Fawcett (deceased at age 7). Wife of Joseph (deceased 1980). Mother of Ernest of Mississauga (partner Jeannette), Joseph and his wife Joy of Madison, Georgia, USA, Marjorie Stanclik of Alliston and Doreen Houston and her husband Kees van Berkel of Guelph. Grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 2. Special aunt to Dorothy Hall of St. Catharines.
Friends and family are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound for visiting on Wednesday February 22nd, 2017 from 7-9 pm. A private family funeral will be held with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
Memorial donations to the First Baptist Church, Owen Sound or the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
