Laughlin– The death
occurred peacefully, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on
Thursday, February 9, 2017, of Lila Evelyn Laughlin, of Summerside,
aged 91 years. Born in Elmsdale, she was the daughter of the late
Charles and Annie (Smith) Barnett. Survived by her husband of 67 years
Russell Laughlin; son William “Bill”; sisters-in-law Mabel
Barnett and Blanche Forgeron; and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a daughter Vera Helen in infancy; brothers
and sisters Ralph Barnett, Hilton (Alice) Barnett, William Barnett,
Gladys (George) Kinch, Dorothy (Lloyd) Adams, Mae (Vernon) Matthews,
Ida (Arthur) Wells and Florence (James) Adams. Resting at
the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to Trinity
United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m.
Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting
hours Monday from 5-7 p.m. Memorial donations to Prince County
Hospital Foundation or a Charity of Choice would be
appreciated.
