Obituary for Leslie (Les) Morgan
Morgan, Leslie
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Les Morgan, our dear father, grandfather, husband, brother and friend. Les was one of 13 children and is predeceased by his parents Sadie and Gilbert Morgan. Les was fighting a lengthy, but courageous battle against COPD for almost a decade and tragically lost his battle on November 13, 2017 during his stay at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Les leaves to mourn the love of his life and best friend Gloria, his four children, for whom he was so proud, Michael (Karen), Des, Shana (Gord), Lucas (Sarah) and his grandchildren Courtney (Jonathan), Morgan, Carter, Aysia, Ayce, Isla Leslie, Harlow, Wyatt and Kyle. Also missing him always are his buds Nisha and Gimli.
In his 64 years of life, Les was a very hard worker and used his high energy to build the most exquisite homes. He spent recent years boating, fishing and playing with his grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. It is no surprise that a man as kind and loving as Les had a large circle of friends. Missing him immensely today and everyday are good friends, Kevin, Dave and Jamie.
Les’ love for Bruce Lee is in our minds as we quote him in this verse.
“ If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.”
Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday, 2 pm – 9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11 am in the James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel, Kelligrews. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted. To sign the guest registry, or to send a message of condolence, please visit www.hickeysfuneralhome.ca
