Leslie “Glenn” Williams
– 90, of Wolfville, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017
in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on November 10, 1927
in Lockeport, Shelburne County, he was the only child of the late
Cecil and Vera (Thompson) Williams. He was a graduate of Acadia
University and spent 37 years teaching science, retiring from Central
Kings Rural High School in 1988. A man of many interests, he enjoyed
astronomy, stamp and coin collecting and geology. Glenn and his wife,
Annie, spent 48 summers with family at their cottage at Evangeline
Beach. He is survived by his wife, Annie (Singer); three daughters,
Debra Thomas, Wolfville; Dana Williams, Wolfville; Leslie (David)
Cavanagh, Forest Hill; five grandchildren, Davina Marie
“Didi” Morton (Jason Lecain), Jeffrey Thomas
(Nicholle), Peter Thomas, Christopher Thomas (Danielle), and Tristan
Cavanagh; six great grandchildren, Gabriel, Dylan, Owen, Benjamin,
Theodore and Eleanor. He was predeceased by a daughter in infancy,
Donna Williams. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation
or funeral service, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer
Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
