Sadly, the family wishes to announce that Lenny passed away at his home in Stoughton, SK on October 30, 2017 at the age of 80 years.
Lenny will be remembered and sadly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Lenny is predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Wilcox and his youngest brother Nelson.
Lenny is survived by his brother Fred; wife Sandra Wilcox; children, Gerald (Carole), Jodi, Jocelyn (Darcey) and his grandchildren Samantha, Jessica, Taylor, Tia and great granddaughter Nevaeh Alexandrea; as well as Shelly, Michelle and Leah, daughters of younger brother Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leonard was the second son of James and Mary Wilcox and was born in Stoughton on September 18, 1937. He attended Gap View School until a year before its closing and was then taught by his mother by correspondence courses. He worked for P.F.R.A for six years then came home to farm in 1962. Leonard was an active member of the community and was with the Lions club for many, many years, volunteering and his willingness to help others was the way he lived his life. Above all else he loved his family.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Church, Stoughton with Elizabeth Goodson officiating. A time of lunch and visiting will be held at the Stoughton Legion following the service. Those so wishing may make memorial donations in memory of Leonard to the Stoughton & District First Responders, P.O. Box 282, Stoughton, SK, S0G 4T0.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
