Leonard Archibald Bailer
December 29, 1937 ~ January 7, 2017
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Archibald Bailer on January 7, 2017 at the age of 79.
Len is survived by the love of his life, Sharal. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kent, Brent, Trevor (Tori), Shari (Sean); step-children, Elisha (Tony), Christa (Greg), Aaron (Amanda). Grandpa Len will be missed by his eight grandchildren, Saylor, Callie, Austin, Sophie, Lexi, Logan, Zach and Peyton.
Len also leaves behind, four brothers, Elmer (Della), Clarence (Yvonne), Harvey (Darlene), Melvin (Fiona); four sisters, Doris, Irene (Al), Marion (Jack) and Jeneline; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He will also be missed by his in-laws, Frank (Leona), Randy (Verna), Sis (Claire), Frankie (Jackie), Karen (Randy).
Len really enjoyed fishing on his boat, named “Leshar” as well as ice fishing, camping and the outdoors. Watching and feeding the birds has also been a great pastime. Len worked on the drilling rigs throughout Alberta early on and then spent 25 years in the sulphur industry. He finished his career at G & B Rubber in Wetaskiwin, working closely with his family.
Celebration of Life: Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel, Wetaskiwin.
